HuGo has been created at SDU Robotics, Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute, University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark. It was originally developed within the HospiBot project funded by Interreg Germany-Denmark. The main developers of the robot include Tamas Gabor, Oskar Palinko and Pol Barrera Valls.
